Canada Statutory Holidays 2020/2021

Canada Statutory Holidays 2020-2021:

Here on this page you will find general information and details about the different Canadian holidays for 2020/2021.

- "Canada National Day" in 2020 will be on Wednesday, so this year, luckily,  you have to take two days off to celebrate a long weekend. However Canada Day in 2021 will be on Thursday.

- "Easter" in 2021 will be on April 2 (Good Friday) and Easter Sunday will be on April 4, which is approximately halfway between Family Day and Victoria Day.

- "Remembrance Day" is on a Wednesday in 2020 and we expect, as in previous years. In 2021, Remembrance Day will be on Thursday.

- "Christmas" in 2020 will be on a Friday with "Boxing Day" following on Saturday. Therefore be sure to check with your employer if they plan to give a day instead of Saturday, especially if you don't normally work on Saturdays. However, Christmas in 2021, is a weekend. It will be on Saturday 25th, with "Boxing Day" following on Sunday 26th.

- "Halloween" is not an official holiday, however it is a popular celebration and this year 2020 it will be on a Saturday so kids can stay out late and parents don't have to rush home early from work to be on time for "trick or treating." In 2021, Halloween will be on a Sunday.

- "The Olymic Games 2020" will be held in Tokyo between Jul 23, 2021 and Aug 8, 2021.

- "The Civic Holiday" in 2021 will be on August 2.
