Stat holidays in Canada can be pretty confusing because of the differences in the federal and provincial regulations. On the contrary, in many countries outside Canada, there is just one single list of national holidays observed everywhere in the country by every employee, being federal or not. Why can't we all commemorate Remembrance Day? How come that Quebec celebrates Easter Monday instead of Good Friday?
